01
Ecological
sensitive zone
Much of Amer lies within the eco-sensitive zone surrounding Nahargarh Wildlife Sanctuary. Covering almost 80 sq. km, the zone creates uncertainty for landowners and businesses over its exact boundaries, what can be built inside and outside it, and which permissions are required.
02
Lack of
collective voice
Businesses often raise concerns individually, with no collective voice to influence the vision, policies, regulations and development decisions shaping Amer’s economic future.
03
No common
platform
Traders, hoteliers, farmers, artisans and other enterprises lack a shared forum to meet, build relationships, explore synergies and solve common problems together.
04
Information and
guidance gaps
Licences, regulations and government schemes can be difficult to navigate. Businesses also lack accessible research, reliable data and practical guidance to make informed decisions and identify opportunities.
05
Infrastructure
challenges
Roads, parking, power, water and public amenities affect businesses across Amer. Without coordinated action, shared infrastructure gaps continue to constrain enterprise and growth.
06
Lost economic
value
Tourism is central to Amer’s economy and deserves further growth. But more value needs to reach local businesses, while other sectors need greater support to diversify the economy and create new opportunities.
07
Skills, innovation
and business support
Businesses need better access to skilled workers, practical training, digital tools and business support to innovate, improve productivity and compete in changing markets.
